Make a big splash with the Citizen Promaster 1000 titanium men's battery-powered analog/digital watch, which offers water resistance to 200 meters (660 feet). The watch case is made from solid titanium, which is nearly 50 percent lighter than steel, but 30 percent stronger. It's also particularly resistant to salt water corrosion, as well as hypo-allergenic--perfect for those with metal allergies. It has a wealth of dive measurement functions, including:
- Depth display to 260 feet in digital format
- Second display for maximum depth, dive time and water temperature
- 4-dive memory
- Auto-start dive mode
- Rapid ascent warning signal

I ordered this watch for a friend in Germany who has not yet seen it. He is coming here at the end of August and will pick it up then. It was considerably cheaper here than in Germany. It's great looking and keeps perfect time but then the Citizen brand is always dependable.

I got this watch to replace my Luminox that aquired a cracked crystal on a dive and flooded. My first impressions were fantastic, but I ran into the problem that if I sweated, or if the humidity in an area were too high, the watch would go into dive mode. End result is that the battery is dead in less than 3 years, AND the watch can only be serviced at an authorzied Citizen service center. If you are looking for a watch to ONLY dive with, this is a great watch. If you are looking for something to dive with and to wear every day, look elsewhere.

This watch is a wonderful, durable backup to your dive computer. Made of titanium, it doesn't suffer from the heavy weight of other dive watches. I absolutely love everything about it, with two exceptions: the placement of the water sensor turns the "dive mode" on if you happen to be sweating; even though the watch is marked to glow in the dark, it is unreadable at night. There's no light and the marking is so poorly designed that you can't make anything out. It is reasonably accurate (about 3 seconds a month).

The watch hands are virtually indistinguishable at night, making it a poor choice. Good dive features, but I found the dive mode would automatically enter if I went jogging (sweat will activate it). It also goes into dive mode in the shower...not a good design. There ought to be some way of telling the watch, "I'm at the ocean, NOW you can start dive mode."
If you want a watch ONLY for diving, this is a good choice. Otherwise, steer clear!

Its funny that after I bought it for 300, the cheapest ones now are for 341... talk about inflation in three weeks. The watch is light, strong, and keeps good time... about diving... well, white water rafting didnt destroy it :-) so think its solid too.
Only thing that irritated me was the numbers on the rotating bezel have this 'shiny-chrome' finish, which looks rather tacky, if you ask me, and the bezel has this slight 'give' in the clicks...
If in stock with Amazon, dont pay extra for shipping, as they are remarkable at getting it out of the warehouse in record time.
Will update when I dive or use other tricks in the watch...
